Everything seems to be getting more expensive. Food, gas and housing prices are on the rise while paycheques are slow to keep pace. 

The CBC News series Priced Out explains why you’re paying more at the register and how Canadians are coping with the high cost of everything.

There was a time when Catherine Munn didn’t know how she could afford a place in Vancouver as a single mother. 

Munn, 61, was in a BC Housing-subsidized rental, took transit and still struggled financially.

Now, she lives in a bright, airy, one-bedroom apartment in east Vancouver for which she pays about half of what market
