A group interrupted a UCP event to protest a 2021 Danielle Smith video today — what's it all about?

During a United Conservative Party event Thursday focused on a seniors’ discount, Pamela Rath, UCP candidate for Calgary-Mountain View, was interrupted by a group of protesters.

Rath was in the middle of a sentence, discussing jobs and investments, when she looked to her left.

There, a group of three protesters holding signs, like one that read “For Sale: Foothills Hospital,” began shouting. One unidentified man made it past event organizers and began to shout “hospitals are not for sale.”

Organizers attempted to stop the man, but he was able to make it to the front of the stage, where he stood unimpeded, holding up
