Ottawa, ON (WNews Canada) – The freedom convoy/Protest has entered its second day in Canada’s capital city with tens of thousands at Parliament Hill alone on Saturday.
The convoy first started arriving on Friday with the first trucks blocking Wellington Street in front of Parliament’s building.
The Freedom Convoy was composed of truckers and citizens who travelled to Ottawa. The convoy started in Delta, British Columbia, last Sunday, January 22.
The protest on Saturday went without major problems even though the large group of people holding signs.
There’s was a couple of issues at the War memorial/The Tomb of the unknown soldier when some people parked their vehicles and danced on the grave.
The organizer has condemned what happened at the Tomb and even some people on the Convoy to Ottawa group asked on early Sunday for a group to watch the Memorial.
Supporters have come far and wide with supporters from Vancouver to Chicago, Illinois.Ottawa Police tweeted to expect delays due to demonstrations in the downtown area. 
Ottawa Police and OPP have restricted traffic going into the downtown area especially on Queen St.
Trucks are being restricted with the number of trucks allowed into Ottawa with some of the major highways being closed.
Many bridges over the Ottawa River have been closed between Ottawa and Gatineau, Quebec.
Trudeau Goes into Protective
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family have gone into protection at an undisclosed location due to security issues.
Trudeau said in a statement earlier in the week that the protesters are from a fringe minority group that doesn’t represent the views of the majority of Canadians.
On late Thursday, Trudeau announce that he was going into isolation after his son tested positive for COVID-19. 
Saskatchewan to drop Vaccine Passport/Mandates
One of the biggest goals of the Convoy is that all of the mandates and orders related to COVID-19 be dropped including the controversial Vaccine Passport that many areas in the world have required to travel and enter non-essential businesses.
The truckers and protesters are expected to stay in Ottawa until the mandates are dropped and/or Prime Minister Justin Trudeau resigns.
Saskatchewan announced Saturday, that they are to the dropped the majority of the mandates very soon.
Scott Moe made this announcement in a message on Twitter in connection with rallies being held across the country against a federal policy that requires truck drivers entering Canada from the United States to be fully vaccinated.
This is the second time within a week that the premier of Saskatchewan has made a public comment about the potential removal of the provincial proof of vaccination policy shortly.
In response to Moe’s comments on Wednesday, Saskatchewan epidemiologist Nazeem Muhajarine said on Thursday he was surprised by this message.
Other COVID-19 restrictions and policies have already been dropped recently.
On Thursday, the Saskatchewan government announced its self-isolation policy was changing for people who test positive to five days regardless of vaccination status. The province has also removed the requirement for residents to self-isolate if they are a close contact.
Saskatchewan’s public health orders, including mandatory masking, proof of vaccination and mandates for government workers, are set to expire on Feb. 28.
British Columbia’s Provincial Health Officer hinted at a Friday’s press conference at lifting some restrictions by Family’s Day if British Columbia’s residents continue following the health orders.
Meanwhile in Ontario, starting tomorrow, January 31, Ontarians will be allowed to dine in once again and head to the movies as Premier Doug Ford is moving Ontario forward in the reopening plan.
