Quebec provincial police officer killed during attempted arrest

Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Maureen Breau was stabbed when she tried to carry out an arrest warrant at a residence in Louiseville, Que. (Sûreté du Québec)

A Sûreté du Québec police officer and a suspect have died in an incident in Louiseville, Que., near Trois-Rivières. A second police officer was injured, but he is expected to recover. 

Provincial police say they went to a residence on Monday at around 8:30 p.m. to carry out an arrest for threats when Sgt. Maureen Breau was stabbed.

Two more police officers arrived on the scene and shot and killed the suspect. According to Radio-Canada sources, the suspect is Isaac
