An Indian national who died with his family last week when a boat capsized in the St. Lawrence River during what authorities believe was an attempt to enter the United States was “mortally afraid of water,” says his cousin.
Pravinbhai Chaudhari, 49, was found in a marshy area in Akwesasne, Que., with his wife Dakshaben, 45, their 23-year-old daughter, Vidhi and their 20-year-old son, Meet.
