“You’re just like your dad.” 

It’s a line I’ve heard many times, often after a performance. But I have mixed feelings about the comparison.

I am Rudy Kelly, a Tsimshian playwright, author and a performer. On stage, I’ve been in musicals, dramas and comedies, playing characters like Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar. At the end of a run, I’ve always been able to put the character away and walk out into
