Hijabs and Helmets is a local Toronto effort to provide a safe environment for people to learn cycling, especially Muslim women. Menna Badawi, the program lead, says it was created to meet a need in the community. The group operates in the Taylor Creek area, and gets most of its funding from Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.
